The course discussed child development and children’s situation especially in the Philippine context highlighting the categories and issues of children especially those in need of special protection.

Legal Instruments for the Protection of Children

This course discusses the different international and Philippine legal instruments and policies to protect children and advocate for their rights. These legal instruments will also be assessed in terms of how they respond to the issues and needs of children especially those in need of special protection.

Institutional Mechanisms Towards Child Rights Protection and Promotion

This course discusses the different systems, structures, and strategies to protect and promote child rights.

Cluster 2: Planning and Implementing Programs for Child Rights Protection and Promotion

Planning Programs on Child Rights Protection and Promotion

This course will tackle program planning strategies for child rights protection and promotion.

Implementing Child Rights Programs

This course will provide monitoring and evaluation techniques to achieve desired outcomes in Child Right programs.

Communicating for Child Rights Protection and Promotion: Theoretical Approaches

This course aims to provide the learners with theoretical handles for effective communication planning: downstream planning for child rights protection and promotion and upstream planning to influence policies to protect children.

Traditional and New Media for Child’s Rights Protection and Promotion

This course explores communication and the social construction of reality in a digitized world where multimedia together with traditional media help create the environment for children.

Advocacy and Social Mobilization for Child Rights Protection and Promotion

This course is the application of communication, marketing and other social science paradigms, strategies, concepts, principles and practices in promoting and protecting the rights of the child.
