The arrival of web 2.0 technologies has enabled Internet users to become creators rather than just mere consumers of web content. The UP Open University has tapped these technologies to make online learning more interactive. Many faculty members have used in varying extents video sharing, social networking, collaborative writing, videoconferencing and document sharing sites and applications in their classes. Using these technologies, students are able to do webinars, write reflections on blogs, make e-portfolios, present papers via videoconferencing, and undertake collaborative learning activities despite their geographical differences.
