The UP Open University conducted a study in the use of tablet computers in selected secondary schools through the support of Australian Agency for International Development (AusAid). The study’s findings showed the use of tablets can improve students’ motivation to learn, facilitate learning through the use of interactive multimedia, and develop digital literacy and learning how to learn skills. The study also confirmed the importance of teacher professional development; vision, leadership, and strategic planning; and community support in technology integration in schools. Prof. Patricia Arinto led this project.
