Master of Hospital Administration

The Master of Hospital Administration program is designed for physicians, nurses and other allied health personnel and key administration support staff of hospitals and other health care facilities.

The program is offered in cooperation with the College of Public Health of UP Manila.

Objectives of the Program

The program aims to:

  • Provide basic knowledge, concepts, and principles in the field of health care administration with emphasis on hospital/health care organizations; and
  • Develop proper attitudes and skills to manage a hospital efficiently and effectively.

Mode of Instruction

All courses are delivered by DE mode. Tutorials are done through face-to-face mode at UPOU-Learning Center at UP Manila only.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must be a graduate of an approved medical school, with administrative experience in a hospital or any health facility or slated to occupy such a position. Graduates of at least a baccalaureate degree, preferably in business administration or nursing, and who have at least one (1) year experience in a managerial position in any health facility are also qualified to apply.

The Curriculum

Students must complete 29 units of core courses and 9 units of electives, and pass a comprehensive examination. No thesis is required.
