UPOU has 1665 enrollees for 1st sem 2006-2007
For the first semester of school year 2006-2007, UPOU has 1665 students enrolled in the various degree- and non degree programs of the UP Open University. Seven hundred fifty five are new enrollees and 762 are old enrollees.
Dr. Melinda Bandalaria, UPOU University Registrar, said that the degree programs with the highest numbers of enrollees are as follows: Master of Development Communication has 192 enrollees; Associate in Arts has 187; Master of Information Systems has 151; and the Master in Public Management has 125. She also reported that the newest program offering of UPOU, the Professional Teaching Certification Program, has 98 enrollees.
Bandalaria announced that the UPOU is now accepting applications for the second semester of this school year. All applications for admission should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office and UPOU Learning Center by 30 June 2006. She added that they are already processing applications that did not meet the deadlines for the first semester. (Luisa A. Gelisan, OC)
