UPOU holds Forum on Women’s Rights
In celebration of the Women’s Month, the UPOU Committee on Gender Concerns in cooperation with the UP Center for Women’s Studies will hold a forum titled “Claiming Women’s Right through CEDAW.” It will be held on 22 March 2006, 9:00 am at the UP Vargas Museum Gallery A, Diliman, Quezon City.
Prof. Aurora Javate de Dios of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) will deliver the keynote speech. De Dios is the former Chairperson of the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women.
The Vargas Museum and the Figaro Corporation are co-sponsors of the event.
