UPOU opens testing center in Thailand
The UPOU has established a testing center in Bangkok, Thailand. The testing center is being managed by the Worldwide Education Link (WEL). It is located at the 21st Floor of Olympia Thai Tower, 444 Ratchada Phisek Rd, Huaykwang Bangkok, Thailand and with telephone numbers (01) 446 5331 and (04) 119-7788.
The testing center’s primary function is to provide the distance learners and faculties the setting to facilitate the administration of proctored examination.
University Registrar Melinda dP. Bandalaria said that for the first semester of school year 2006-2007, UPOU has 99 overseas based students, 46 are in Thailand. The UPOU also plans to set up a testing center in Dubai, where UPOU has a growing number of students. (Luisa A. Gelisan)
