UP Open University offers seminars on distance education
The University of the Philippines Open University invites administrators, faculty and staff members of higher education institutions to participate in a series of seminars on distance education (DE) that will be conducted starting 3 May 2006.
The following DE seminars will be held at the National Computer Center, C.P. Garcia Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City:
1. Distance Education for Managers will be about DE processes; management of DE institution, including legal and regulatory issues; and planning for DE.
Seminar date: 3-5 May 2006. Enrollment deadline: 28 April 2006.
2. Student Support in Distance Education will cover the importance of student support services in DE and the best practices in providing support services to distance learners.
Seminar date: 10-12 May 2006. Enrollment deadline: 5 May 2006.
3. Materials Development for Distance Education will be about course development process in DE, module writing, course guide preparation, learning activities, and assessment.
Seminar date: 17-19 May 2006. Enrollment deadline: 12 May 2006
