UPOU Centennial Park

 

UP President Emerlinda R. Roman formally opened to the public the UPOU Centennial Park.

The park, designed by the newly installed UPOU Chancellor Dr. Grace J. Alfonso, will also serve as an open theater where UPOU can hold concerts and other outdoor presentations.

Surrounding its centerpiece, the UPOU Oblation, are four lagoons representing UPOU's core values: Excellence, Equity, Efficiency, and Humanism.

At present, construction of the two lagoons is underway; meanwhile the remaining two will be developed soon. The park will be in full operation when the University of the Philippines System celebrates its Centennial Year in June 2008. (Luisa A. Gelisan, OC).
