DC207 Short Film Festival

The DevCom 207 Class for 2nd semester 2007-2008 held an exhibition of development-oriented digital films at the UPOU Multimedia Center Theater, CICT, UP Diliman, Quezon City on 15 March 2008. The exhibition is the culminating activity of the "Design and Production of Audio Visual Development Communication Materials" class under Dr. Grace Javier Alfonso.

Dr. Alfonso, the Chancellor of UPOU, who is a film professor and critic, was very happy with the productions of her students who were all neophytes in the field of film making. The students' productions inspired her to come up with a plan to put up an online film festival for DC207. She said that "by doing this, the students' films will be seen by many, especially by those Devcom students who were not able to participate in the film festival here in the Multimedia Center ."

The Devcom207 has 90 students: 55 are based in Luzon, 9 are in the Visayas Region, 13 are in Mindanao, and 13 are abroad. (Luisa A. Gelisan, OC)
