The training programs are among the continuing capacity and capability building activities for UPOU faculty and staff members who are involved in instructional design and course development. Dr. Jean Saludadez , the OASIS Director, said that primarily the training will "support the development of the courses under the Bachelor of Arts in

On the other hand, participants of the training on content development will learn the different steps of content production. These are review of available course content and elearning scenarios; editing of existing content, graphic, and multimedia; storyboarding; developing scripts for download and print; and producing added value. This online course will be conducted from 18 August to 12 September 2008.
Dr. Saludadez added that in the future, UPOU will offer the training courses to academicians, trainers, and other individuals who are not constituents of UP.
