The UP Board of Regents (BOR) during its 1230th meeting on 29 February 2008, has approved the appointment of Dr. Nemah N. Hermosa as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the UPOU. Dr. Hermosa shall continue to serve at the pleasure of the Chancellor.

Prior to becoming Vice Chancellor, Dr. Hermosa had served the UPOU as the Dean of the Faculty of Education from 1 January 2004 to 28 February 2008. She has long been involved with the UPOU through  her committed performance of the multifacted roles of course writer, instructional designer, faculty-in-charge, and tutor of courses under the Diploma in Language and Literacy Education, Master of Arts in Education, and the Master of Distance Education programs.
