UP Open University holds 13th Commencement Exercises

The University of the Philippines Open University will hold its 13th Commencement Exercises on 9 May 2009 at the Oblation Park, UP Open University, Los Banos, Laguna. To address the graduates is Undersecretary Fortunato T. dela Pena of the Department of Science and Technology.

UP President Emerlinda Roman will confer degrees to 173 graduates -- 14 of whom are undergraduates and 158 are postgraduates.

Leading this year’s graduates are the following students who earned the highest weighted grade average: Roderick Evan M. Bartolome (Master of Development Communication); April B. Cabello (Master of Development Communication); Glenn F. Fernandez (Diploma in Environment and Natural Resources Management); and Allan L. Hilario (Master of Hospital Administration).

The graduates will receive degrees in the following programs: Doctor of Philosophy in Education, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Development Communication, Master of Public Health, Master of Hospital Administration, Master of Public Management, Master of Environment and Natural Resources Management, Master of Information Systems, Diploma in Research and Development Management, Diploma in Environment and Natural Resources Management., Diploma in Language and Literacy Education, Diploma in Mathematics Teaching, Diploma in Social Studies Education, Diploma in Science Teaching, Diploma in Computer Science, and Associate in Arts.
