UPOU conducts DE orientation in Oriental Mindoro

 

The UP Open University conducted orientation seminars on distance education and open learning in four towns of Oriental Mindoro on 10-12 March 2010. The orientations were held upon the invitation of the Singlehandedly Working Women Association, a women's organization based in Ilaya, Calapan City.

The UPOU group, led by Prof. Melinda dP. Bandalaria, University Registrar, and Prof. Primo Garcia, Project Development Associate for Information, conducted DE orientations for government officials and employees, nongovernment workers, cooperative groups, teachers, and students from the towns of Calapan, Victoria, Gloria, and Pinamalayan. The group also explored for possible scholarship grants for UPOU students based in Oriental Mindoro.
