Hermosa said that the assembly aimed to review the functions and responsibilities of program chairs; share experiences and concerns on various areas of academic program development, implementation, and evaluation; and recommend policies, procedures and guidelines on various aspects of academic program administration.

The assembly, participated in by 16 program chairs, 5 speakers/presenters and 3 staff members in charge of programs, also discussed strategies for enhancing pre-registration advising, academic counseling, student and faculty orientation, exam administration, course materials development, course evaluation, faculty and tutor training and support, and program promotion.
