The event gives opportunities for people to have conversations outside day-to-day routine and get to know new people. The University of the Philippines, through the Padayon Public Service Office, has made the Call for Nominations to the fourth Gawad Pangulo: Award for Excellence in Public Service. With the theme, Galing UP, Lingkod Bayan: Pagtugon sa Hamon ng Pandemya, the award aims to recognize excellent and outstanding COVID-related public service initiatives facilitated and implemented by faculty and staff in all UP Constituent Universities. For this year, fifteen (15) units will be conferred the award in a virtual ceremony on December 6, 2021 and receive a prize money of PhP 100,000.00 each.
