The DICT Mindanao Cluster 1 x UP Open University (UPOU) collab project dubbed as Enabling Teachers on Remote Teaching and Learning in the time of Pandemic (in partnership with UPOU) was shortlisted for a global prize at the 2021 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). The entry was among the Top 20 nominees out of 582 projects submitted worldwide. This Training series for Educators ran for 9 sessions equipping over 84,000 teachers (66% of whom are women) with various techniques for remote teaching. The series came at no cost to the government and the teacher-participants as it was conducted online through synchronous webinar sessions. 2021 APRU Global Health Case Competition Opens Soon

All UP Open University students are invite to participate in the 6th Annual Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Virtual Global Health Case Competition. Teams of 4-6 students will have 10 weeks to create a 10-minute video in English outlining their proposal. First Place Winner will receive USD 1,000! Find out the eligibility and instructions here. An online memorial service for Dr. Felix Librero will be held on Friday, 26 March 2021 at 5:00 PM. Let us commemorate the life and immense contribution of Sir Lex to our university.  For those who would like to pay their last respects, Dr. Librero’s urn is available for public viewing from 24-26 March 2021, 8AM to 7PM at the Community Hub, UPOU Headquarters.
