The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) received the Scroll of Honor Award during the Philippine Red Cross’ (PRC) celebration of National Blood Donors’ Month held on 25 July 2019 at the Time Plaza, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The Scroll of Honor award was given in recognition and deepest appreciation of UPOU’s continuous participation in providing Red Cross services designed to improve the well-being of humanity. Ms. Rhonna Marie Vereña, a University Researcher in the Faculty of Education (FEd), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) has been appointed on 6 June 2019 as the Director of the newly established UPOU Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Office. Director Verena said that the programs that shall be undertaken by UPOU Pahinungod Office are still being firmed-up. During the recently concluded Licensure Exam for Real Estate Consultants, Ms. Dorothy May Rayela Nubla and Mr. Agusto Babula Agosto, two students from the Diploma in Land Valuation and Management (DLVM) Program of the University of the Philippines-Faculty of Management and Development Studies (UPOU-FMDS) were among the 43 passers out of the total 45 Real Estate Consultant Licensure exam takers. During this year’s Environmental Planning Licensure Examination (EPLE), five students and one graduate from the Diploma in Land Use Planning (DLUP) Program of the University of the Philippines-Faculty of Management and Development Studies (UPOU-FMDS) were among the 2019 passers out of the total 4,973 EPLE examinees. The results of the EPLE were released by the Professional Regulation Commission last 11 June 2019.
