The University of the Philippines (UP) released the names of the faculty and researchers who were conferred the UP Scientific Productivity Award for CY 2018-2020. New partnerships were forged and sealed by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) on 01 March 2019 as part of the celebration of its 24th Anniversary. The University of the Philippines (UP) is in search for the Next Chancellor of the UP Open University (UPOU). In November 2018, UP President Danilo L. Concepcion released an administrative order to institute a search process for the next Chancellor of UPOU, and constitute the search committee. The twenty-first day of February 2019 marked the National Earthquake Drill for the Philippines, which the University of the Philippines (UP) dubbed as #UPShakeDrill.
