The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Multimedia Center (MC) conducted the first two sessions of the Multimedia Workshop Series on 21 March 2018 at the Training Room, UPOU Community Hub, UPOU, Los Baños, Laguna. Ms. Louise Mabulo, an Associate in Arts (AA) student of the Faculty of Education, University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), received a recognition as an Outstanding Campus Ambassador in the 2018 United Nations Winter Youth Assembly held on February 14-16, 2018 at the UN Headquarters, New York City, USA. The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) celebrated National Women's Month with a Let's Talk It Over (LTIO) lecture on Situating Women in the Economy and Environment on 27 March 2018 to discuss the role of women in two important sectors of society: the economy and environment. Associate Professor Lea C. Garcia, a UPOU PhD student, won the Best Paper Award during the 2nd Lumina Foundation International Research Congress 2018 with the theme "Breakthroughs in Teaching and Learning" held on 3-5 February 2018 at the Fu Jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan.
