The UP Open University (UPOU) Family Day was held on 3 March 2023 as part of its 28th Anniversary celebration. The event took place at the Centennial Center for Digital Learning (CCDL) Auditorium, UPOU Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna. The event aims to give recognition to members of the UPOU workforce for their extensive years of service, hard work, and contribution to the university, and to foster camaraderie among UPOU faculty and staff members. University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) celebrates its 28th Founding Anniversary on 2 March 2023, face-to-face at its headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna, for the first time since the pandemic, and with the new UP President, Hon. To further promote mental health wellness and provide stress reduction techniques accessible to the general public, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód University of the Philippines Open University conducted an online workshop on crocheting titled "Stitch Away Your Stress" on 28 February 2023 via Zoom.  The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Mary Meghan P. Perido, an entrepreneur, crochet maker and an alumna from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. A new University Registrar now sits for the “Cyber” campus of the University of the Philippines System, the UP Open University (UPOU). Assistant Professor Luisa A. Gelisan, a faculty member of the UPOU Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) and former Director of the UPOU Multimedia Center, is ready to take on the challenge.  Asst. The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) collaborated with the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód University of the Philippines Open University in conducting a workshop on Therapeutic Communication on 27 February 2023. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format. A face-to-face and an online session was simultaneously held at the Centennial Center for Digital Learning Auditorium (CCDL), UPOU Headquarters and online via Zoom. This coming 21 March to 02 April 2023, the return of the much anticipated Los Baños Flower and Garden Show will be held at the Centennial Plaza, UP Open University Headquarters, Los Banos, Laguna as part of the celebration of the International Day of Forests and National Women’s Month. The University of the Philippines Board of Regents (UP BOR) has approved the appointment of the new Dean of the UP Open University Faculty of Education (FEd). On the 1378th meeting of the UP BOR held on 23 February 2023, Asst. Prof. Charisse T. Reyes was named Dean of FEd, succeeding Dr. Ricardo T. Bagarinao, who served for two terms.  Asst.
