The Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) held its first quarter MeetUps of 2023 on February 17, 2023 via Zoom. Eleven administrative staff, research assistants and REPS attended the event that aimed to serve as a space for knowledge and skills sharing, as well as a platform for “kumustahan” among colleagues. Who says one can’t find love in open distance elearning (ODeL)? Former classmates pursuing the Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) degree at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) fell in love while working as nurses in Saudi Arabia. UPOU alumni Reynaldo Panopio, Jr., and Daphne Joanne A. Munoz are now engaged. The UP Open University (UPOU) Multimedia Center (MC) conducted a training program for UPOU employees entitled "TightVNC: Remote Control of Slideshow and Zoom for Hybrid Events.”  The training was held on 31 January 2023 at the UPOU Audio Visual Room. The training started with the welcome remarks of Asst. Prof. Luisa Gelisan, Director of UPOU Multimedia Center.
