The UP Open University hosted an online benchmarking for the Center for Alternative Flexible Teaching-Learning and Innovative Instruction (CAFTLII) - Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) on 5 May 2025. UPOU Students Celebrate Metaverse Festival with Virtual Cultural Exhibits and International Exchange

Students from the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) gathered on 8 May 2025–both onsite at the Multimedia Center Theater, UPOU-DICT Building, Diliman, Quezon City, and online via Zoom, to celebrate the Metaverse Festival—a two-day event that showcased student-led virtual cultural exhibits in an immersive digital environment. BAMS Alumni Present Redesigned BAMS Planner

Two alumni of the Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies (BAMS) program of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS), Ms. Patricia Martillano and Mr. James Daryl Alcaraz, presented a redesigned version of the BAMS Planner on  9 May 2025, via Zoom. The UPOU Ugnayan ng Pahinungód recently concluded its 2025 Online Bridge Program, a massive open online course (MOOC) designed to help senior high school students—particularly those from underserved areas—overcome learning gaps and prepare for college entrance exams such as the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT).
