The newly-elected members of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) University Student Council (USC) took their oaths on 26 April  2023, in a hybrid setup. The attendees who were present in person were at the UPOU Oblation Hall, while USC Councilors Francelle Joanne Bacud, Luna Alexandra Cañal, and Raine Tuason joined virtually via Zoom. The University of the Philippines (UP) Board of Regents (BOR) has approved the establishment of the Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL) during its 1378th Meeting held on 23 February 2023. The UP Open University (UPOU) as the current President of the Consortium of Open and Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (CODEPP) conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Institutional Implementation of Open Distance eLearning (ODeL). The second project for the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research (EIDR) Program of the UP Open University (UPOU) Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) program was officially launched on 3 April 2023. This was headed by the Asst. Prof. Queenie R. Ridulme, Project Leader, and it marked the beginning of the implementation of the project, titled "Web-Based Related Learning Experience (RLE) Design as a Resource Activity Material." One of the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research (EIDR) Projects of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) Master of Arts in Nursing program, namely Development of a Web-based Related Learning Experience (RLE) Design as a Resource Activity Material, was presented at The World Learning Labs Symposium 2023. The UP Open University conducted a Blended Training Course on Open Distance eLearning (ODeL) for the nineteen (19) Graduate Faculty of the Department of Political Science of the University of the Philippines Diliman.
