Student representatives of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Provisional Committee (ProvComm) met with the UPOU Chancellor, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, along with UPOU Deans and Directors, and other members of the UPOU staff and administration.   The dialogue was held on 30 June 2022 at the UPOU Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna, to discuss and formally submit the newly Ratified Student Constitution following the Article 434 of the U.P. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Provisional Committee (ProvComm), established by the UPOU Office of Student Affairs (OSA), in collaboration with the UP Office of the Student Regent (OSR), successfully conducted the official university-wide referendum to ratify the drafted Student Constitution. This was held from 18 - 22nd April 2022 and extended until 30th April through the newly established student hub—Tagpuan. (LBSCFI).  Los Baños Science Community Foundation, Inc. (LBSCFI) met for its Second Quarter Steering Committee Meeting at the UP Open University Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna. Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), and Dr. John Martin, UPOU Visiting Professor from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom published a journal article titled, “An Exploration of the Contribution of Embodied, Situated Research Strategies to Cultural Ecosystem Services and Landscape Assessment Frameworks: An Environmental Empathy Case Study.” The article was co-authored with Dr. Klara Łucznik, a ColLaboratoire 2020 mentor from the University of Plymouth, and was published on 23 May 2022 in Avant  — an open access and peer-reviewed journal on interdisciplinary studies. University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Chancellor, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria joins the kick-off meeting of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) Global Advocacy Campaign (GAC) for Open, Flexible and Distance Learning (OFDL) Working Groups. Dr. Bandalaria co-chairs the ICDE GAC Asia Task Force with Prof. Dato Dr. Ansary Ahmed, Founder President of the Asia e University (AeU).  The kick-off meeting was held online, via Zoom,  on 27 June 2022.
