The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) visited the UP Open University (UPOU) on 11 May  2022. The CBSUA Graduate School team was led by Graduate School Dean, Dr. Claribelle C. Saludadez, Professor at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), has published a chapter in the First Edition of The Routledge Handbook of the Communicative Constitution of Organization. The Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) organized an event held on 7 to 8 April 2022 for the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Program (EIDR) Cycle 8 Project Leaders to showcase system funded research projects. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) conducted a referendum for the ratification of the UPOU Student Constitution on 18 - 22 April 2022.  The voting period was  extended until 30 April 2022 upon the approval of the UP Student Regent to allow more students to participate.  Students voted through the newly established student affairs platform aptly called Tagpuan. The approval of the UPOU Student Constitution allows for its sanction and implementation, thereby ensuring genuine student representation and upholding the student's rights through the creation of the student council and various student organizations.
