The University of the Philippines Open University-Faculty of Management and Development Studies (UPOU-FMDS) conducted the Closing Ceremony of the Certificate Course for Data Protection Officers (CCDPO) on 08 April 2021. The CCDPO is a joint undertaking of the UPOU- FMDS, UPOU Foundation, Inc. and Digital Freedom Network. The Closing Ceremony officially started with the welcome/opening message of Dr. Primo G. Ann Michelle S. Medina bagged the Outstanding Innovator Award for the Secondary Teacher Category on 17 December 2020 in the School Division of Rizal’s Gawad Kampilan virtual awarding ceremony. A student of the Master of Distance Education (MDE) program, a public secondary school Teacher II, and the ICT Coordinator at the Tagumpay National High School (TNHS) at Rodriguez, Rizal, Medina was among the three recipients of the year’s award in the said category. As part of the Sexual Assault Awareness Month this April, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Gender Concerns (OGC) in collaboration with the Diploma in/Master of Social Work and Diploma in Women and Development programs of the UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) will be having the first-ever GADTalk podcast series to be launched on 6 April 2021.
