Call for Nominations for the Next U.P. President
The UP Board of Regents (BOR) is now inviting nominations for the UP President who will succeed the incumbent whose term will end on 9 February 2017. At its 1319th BOR meeting on 28 July 2016, the Board constituted itself as the Search Committee for the next UP President. The Secretary of the Board shall accept nominations from 18 August 2016 until 5:00 p.m. of 23 September 2016.Read more...

The ASEAN Studies Program of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies, UP Open University (UPOU), conducted another one of its lecture series, this time on Food as Culture or "Ang Pagkain Bilang Larangan ng Kultura" on 12 August 2016 at the UPOU Audiovisual Room in Los Baños, Laguna.Dr. Primo G. UPOU Opens Solo Art Exhibit of Jose Glenn Blanco at Galeria Sinag
The UP Open University (UPOU) Cultural Committee proudly hosts the solo art exhibit of Jose Glenn Blanco entitled "Paglalayag sa Kulay ng Buhay" at the Galeria Sinag, UPOU Community Hub, Los Baños, Laguna. The exhibit officially opened on 08 August 2016 with UPOU Chancellor Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria delivering the welcome message and opened the program. The three UP Open University's (UPOU) Faculty of Studies held their respective fellowship and recognition rites for their graduates and alumni on 29 July 2016 at UP Open University Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna. Commonwealth of Learning Provides Conference Sponsorship to AAOU2016
The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) has opened ten slots for conference fellowships to the 30th Conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU2016) on 26-29 October 2016 in Manila, Philippines.The fellowships will be awarded to delegates of not more than 45 years old from AAOU Member institutions in Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Delegates should have had abstracts already accepted for presentation at AAOU2016. Young or mid-career women practitioners of distance education are preferred, especially those who have not attended conferences in the past.
