📣 Roundtable Discussion on Microcredential Standards and Frameworks in the PhilippinesThe University of the Philippines System, through the UP Office of the Vice President for Digital Transformation, and the UP Open University (UPOU), formally opened the Roundtable Discussion on Microcredential Standards and Frameworks in the Philippines.The program commenced with an opening message from Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, Member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Microcredentials. Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Chancellor of UPOU and the Co-Chair of TWG on Microcredentials, delivered a comprehensive scene-setting presentation to provide an overview of the global and ASEAN microcredential landscape and establish a contextual basis for harmonizing a National Consortium on Microcredentials.As part of the preparatory activities, the organizing committee deployed a pre-assessment survey to gather insights on participants’ understanding of microcredentials and their institutions’ current initiatives in the development and implementation of microcredential programs.UPOU looks forward to collaborating to strengthen microcredential standards and frameworks in the Philippines.#UPOU #OpenEducation #ODeL #Microcredentials #DigitalTransformation ...
