The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) proudly congratulates Assistant Professor Karl Abelard Edberto Villegas, Jr. on earning his Master in Innovation and Business (MIB) graduate degree program at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Asst. Prof. Villegas pursued his MIB program with the support of the Aboitiz School of Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (ASITE) Scholarship, along with additional financial assistance. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies delivered two training courses for the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency (FishCoRe) Project. FishCoRe is a seven-year initiative that adopts a comprehensive approach to fishery governance, supporting the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office 4-A in November 2024. The comprehensive training series comprised two specialized courses that equipped BFAR project staff with essential skills in project management and strategic planning.
