University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) welcomed visitors from Adamson University in a benchmarking activity today, 22 March 2023. 

Representatives from Adamson University benchmarked how UPOU implements open and distance learning, assessment for online/flexible teaching and learning, administrative/organizational structure, and other practices.

The activity was led by Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), and Ms. Margaret Jarmin-Suarez, Program Development Associate for Institutional Linkages. The Adamson University delegation included Engr. Noe D. Enriquez, Director, Office for the Institutional Planning and Policy Development; Engr. Maida Dela Cueva, Member of the  Industrial Engineering Department; Mr. William Bill P. Turnbull Jr.,

Director of the Center for Innovative Learning; and Ms. Ligaya Gesmundo,  representative from the Center for Innovative Learning.

This initiative is part of UP Open University’s efforts in public service toward the capacity building of open and distance learning teachers and practitioners in compliance with Republic Act No. 10650. Proper safety protocols were observed during this event.
