International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) 2024 Celebrates Nature’s Climate Champion to Combat Climate Change

The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) joins the celebration for the International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) 2024 from 05-11 May 2024, to promote the benefits of composting and raise awareness about its significant role of creating a sustainable future, with the week-long celebration theme of “COMPOST… Nature’s Climate Champion,” emphasizing the critical role compost plays in combating climate change and supporting healthy ecosystems.

During this celebration, we have many ways to get involved and learn more about composting through attending a workshop, starting composting at home, spreading the word by social media, or donating your time to help support sustainable practices in your community.

Let’s make ICAW 2024 a commitment to a more sustainable future.

Together, we can be Nature’s Climate Champions! ♻️🌏🌱🪱
