The official blog site of the UP Open University (UPOU) returns this month with a renewed commitment to enhancing the public understanding of UPOU and to highlight its identity in diverse and engaging ways.
Formally launched in January 2018, the blog titled OpenUPConnect will continue to feature blogs on student stories, alumni and volunteer experiences, reflections, and tips on online learning, and student projects. The blog will also publish thought pieces and essays on open and distance elearning, sustainability, and wellness.
The platform welcomes contributions from UPOU students, alumni, faculty, staff members, and partners. Submissions will go through the editing and approval process of the Office of Public Affairs (OPA). Multimedia elements are encouraged, including photos, audio and videos. Interested contributors may send their blog entries to [email protected].
The blog site’s reactivation aligns with the Office of Public Affairs’ efforts to further enhance UPOU’s visibility and engagement with the public through strategic initiatives such as KATHA (Knowledge Advocacy through Telling Human-Centered Achievements) and KAPWA (Knowledge-sharing and Active Partnerships With Audiences).
