The University of the Philippines Open University, through its Quality Assurance Office (QAO), facilitated the Pre–External Quality Review (EQR) Writeshops for programs preparing for the External Quality Review scheduled on 11–13 March 2026.
The writeshops were designed to support participating programs as they finalize their Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and consolidate all necessary documents and evidence required for the EQR.
The Master of Public Management (MPM) Program completed its writeshop on 21 October 2025, followed shortly by the Diploma in Land Valuation and Management (DLVM) on 3 November 2025. These activities mark an important phase in ensuring that both programs are ready for the upcoming review cycle.

The DLVM and MPM SAR Writing Teams, and the QAO Director, together with the QA Project Staff, attend the Pre-EQA Writeshop 2025 via Zoom Meeting.
Each program was given dedicated time to complete their reports, respond to identified gaps, and ensure that all information, data, and attachments align with the University’s quality standards and the expectations of the External Reviewers. This focused work period allowed the programs to move from draft to near-final versions of their SARs in preparation for the March 2026 review.
Throughout the sessions, the QAO team provided detailed guidance on the SAR writing process, including the organization of content, articulation of evidence, and alignment with the EQR framework. The team also clarified the documentation requirements and common challenges observed in EQA and EQR cycles to avoid recurring issues. The writeshops advocated a collaborative environment where program teams exchanged insights, clarified uncertainties, and shared practical strategies in quality assurance and report preparation.
In recognition of the strong preparation demonstrated by both programs, the QAO expressed its appreciation to the MPM and DLVM teams for their early and proactive engagement and acknowledged the contributions of the program leads and writers: MPM Program Chair, Asst. Prof. Rose Nonette C. Capadosa, with Assistant Writers Asst. Prof. Edmerson Z. Calungsod and Assoc. Prof. Juvy Lizette Gervacio; and DLVM Program Chair, Asst. Prof. Jephte O. Muñez, with Assistant Writers Asst. Prof. Tricia C. Ascan and Asst. Prof. Ari Luis C. Halos.
