The first day of activities at Ocean Edu International Education System, gathered around 30 participants who joined both online and on-site. The session introduced UPOU’s open and distance learning programs, highlighting flexible study options designed for working professionals, including overseas Filipinos seeking to pursue further education while abroad.

The collaborative meeting and session served as a platform for both UPOU and Ocean Edu to express their appreciation and trust in overseas Filipino teachers. This fact is evident in the number of Filipinos in Ocean Edu—further highlighting the importance of providing additional learning opportunities that are appropriate for their context.

On 25 April, the UPOU delegation met with leaders of the Pinoy sa Hanoi Association (PSHA) and members of the Filipino community for an informal dialogue that went beyond introductions.

The intimate gathering reflected a defining trait of Filipinos abroad—the enduring spirit of bayanihan. The participants shared experiences in various fields such as academia and business—underscoring how Filipinos value their strong sense of community wherever they are.

Through initiatives such as UP VINTA, UPOU continues to connect with overseas Filipino communities, reinforcing the value of accessible and continuing education. These efforts highlight how learning can remain within reach—bridging distance, supporting livelihoods, and strengthening communities across borders.
