In Honor of the Labor DayThe Labor Day or Araw ng mga Manggagawa is commemorated in the Philippines annually every 1st of May to honor the contributions of the Filipino workers in the society. The first Labor Day commemoration in the country took place on 1 May 1903. It was organized by the Union Obrera Democratica Filipina (UODF), the nation's first labor federation, symbolizing the struggle for better working conditions and fair treatment.
