Learn Basic Moodle Courses for free until 22 June

Moodle, a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with an  integrated system to create personalised learning environments, is offering its basic courses for free until 22 June 2020. Learn Moodle Basics and Moodle Admin Basics, two of the most basic courses to be able to use the platform properly, have been offered for free since 23 March.

Learn Moodle Basics is designed for anyone who wants to use the Moodle learning platform for teaching not just for schools and universities, but even for company or personal use as well.  This four-week course, which can be taken any time, is also an opportunity to network with the Moodle community dedicated to sharing resources, ideas and other resources to improve teaching practice.

Moodle Admin Basics, on the other hand, covers managing a Moodle site from the Administration interface within Moodle. This is self-paced, with H5P content and quizzes to help assess the understanding of participants.  A badge and certificate will be given for completing this course.

In Honor of the Labor DayThe Labor Day or Araw ng mga Manggagawa is commemorated in the Philippines annually every 1st of May to honor the contributions of the Filipino workers in the society. The first Labor Day commemoration in the country took place on 1 May 1903. It was organized by the Union Obrera Democratica Filipina (UODF), the nation's first labor federation, symbolizing the struggle for better working conditions and fair treatment. Today, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) joins the nation in honoring the Filipino workers of society and the continuous call for better living wage and workplace safety for a just and fair society. #LaborDay2025 #UPOpenUniversity ...
