The eight episode will be held on 30 July 2020 on the topic “K12 Teacher Journeys: Being and Becoming Adaptable Parents and Teachers. Since the Department of Education (DepEd) has confirmed that the school year will definitely start this August 2020, most of us who have school-aged children find ourselves in a limbo on how to effectively become both parents and teachers to our children at the same time.

The episode will feature Dr. Rachel Red Amparo, Teacher and Founder of The Brainworks School;  Kate Palma De Jesus, Homeschooling Mom and Assistant Professor at UP Los Banos; and Gian De Jesus, Homeschooling Dad and Chief Playmaker of Balaiwari Immersive and Gamified Experiences. The session will be moderated by “Teacher Aleta”, J. Aleta Villanueva, Assistant Professor of the UPOU Faculty of Education.

The featured panelists will be sharing their experiences on becoming an online teacher in elementary education, including the initial struggles in the experience, and valuable advice and recommendations for parents in the transition to supervising children who are studying at home.
