The three-day exhibition of science discoveries and latest research breakthroughs that the Los Banos Science Community Foundation, Inc. (LBSCFI) hold each year will go virtual this 2020.

The Virtual Wonderama Exhibit is a collection of technologies, programs, projects and services offered by the 23 LBSCFI member agencies. This collection will be presented as a curated list of captured or rendered multimedia resources. The usual expected beneficiaries of Wonderama are students and teachers within Los Banos and the neighboring towns. Now that the exhibit is going virtual, the whole science festival can be experienced by everyone around the country and the world, while in the comfort and safety of their homes.

Wonderama is one of the important components of SyenSaya, the yearly local celebration of the Department of Science and Technology’s National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) . The event is also dubbed as the Los Banos Science Festival since it started in 2008.

The entire event carries the theme of the NSTW 2020 which is “Agham at Teknolohiya: Sandigan ng Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaayusan, at Kinabukasan.” It will be held on 2-4 December 2020 via Zoom and the LBSCFI official Facebook page.

Other events that SyenSaya 2020 will feature is the Technology Forum  which will highlight  how the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of the community quarantine has challenged Filipinos in food security and how these situations opened doors for new and innovative ideas to address the needs. And the R&D Awarding and Closing Ceremony which will give honor to outstanding research studies and their authors.

More information about SyenSaya 2020 will be posted on LBSCFI’s official Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/lbscfi.

The University of the Philippines marked Linggo ng Unibersidad with a week of tributes, performances, and ceremonies celebrating the people and principles that continue to shape its legacy. From the opening flag-raising to the culminating Gawad Pangulo, the UP community—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and leaders across the UP System—came together in a collective affirmation of public service.🌾 Watch event highlights here: tinyurl.com/LinggoNgUnibersidad2025In his keynote address, UP President Angelo A. Jimenez reflected on this year’s theme, “Ani at Alay: Paglilingkod at Pasidungog sa Bayan”—a cycle of learning, labor, and offering. “Ani is the harvest of hard work, persistence, and sacrifice. Alay is the offering we make of our talents, our learning, and our lives in the service of the Filipino people.”As UP celebrates 117 years of honor and excellence, Linggo ng Unibersidad becomes more than a commemoration—it is a renewed call to serve with purpose, humility, and imagination.Produced by the UP Media and Public Relations Office (MPRO)#LinggoNgUnibersidad #AniAtAlay #HonorExcellenceService ...
