Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) faculty and staff took oath as the new council members of the All UP Academic Employees Union – UP Open University Chapter (AUPEAU-OU) on 05 February 2021 via Zoom meeting led by Asst. Prof. Mariyel Hiyas C. Liwanag, Director, AUPAEU-National Executive Board.

Asst Prof. Queenie R. Ridulme, Program Chair of the Master of Arts in Nursing program was elected as the President while Asst. Prof. Ria Valerie D. Cabanes, faculty member under the Master of Arts in Nursing program was elected as one of the Board of Directors. Ms. Jeniffer F. De Pasion-Guevarra and Mr. Larry N. Cruz, FMDS Research, Extension and Professional Staff (REPS) were also elected as council members who will serve as the Secretary and one of the Board of Directors, respectively.

Other UPOU faculty and staff who were elected as council members are Assoc. Prof. Diego S. Maranan from the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) who will serve as the Vice President for faculty, Asst. Prof. Roja L. Rivera from the Faculty of Education as one of the Board of Directors, Ms. Carmelita A. Orias from the Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services as the Vice President for REPS, Ms. Margaret J. Suarez from FICS as Treasurer and Ms. Eleanor P. Manipol from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration as Public Relations Officer.

The new set of officers will serve the AUPAEU-OU Chapter Council from 2021 to 2023.
