Ms. Victoria “Vicki” Canape Belegal took her oath of office as the newly elected Staff Regent (SR) before UP President Danilo L. Concepcion on Monday, 18 October 2021, at the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Headquarters. She is the 7th Staff Regent (SR) of the University of the Philippines (UP) System who will represent the Administrative Staff and REPS of all eight Constituent Universities in the Board of Regents.
SR Vicki, who serves as an Administrative Officer V in the UPOU Office of the University Registrar, calls for the support and cooperation of all UP sectors to champion their causes on staff wages, benefits, rights, and privileges.
The oath taking ceremony was attended by UPOU officials and staff, All UP Workers Union officers and members, and SR Vicki’s family. Following the ceremony was a dinner program organized by the UP Los Baños in celebration of SR Vicki’s victory and the start of her term.
