Effective FS/FT 2018-2019, Learning Centers will operate under a reconceptualized and reconstituted set-up. For your guidance please be informed of the following: From seven (7) geographically-based Learning Centers (LC) and one (1) Virtual LC (VLC), there will be Mega Learning Hubs (MLH) to be located in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the NCR. The UP Open University is implementing RA No. 10931 known as the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act of 2017” and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) which was approved and signed on 22 February 2018. The IRR of the law states that beneficiaries of the free college tuition are required to render return service to the University. Options and guidelines for return service will be announced before the start of the registration period for the First Trimester AY 2018-2019.
