Daraga, Albay- December, 2025 – In a collaborative effort under the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), students from the Diploma in Land Use Planning (DLUP) program have co-developed the Local Shelter Plan (LSP) of the Municipality of Daraga, Albay, covering the period 2026-2035. The Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) has named Assistant Professor Lei Kristoffer Lactuan as the new Chair of the Associate of Science in Information Technology (ASIT). He takes over from Dr. Reinald Adrian Pugoy, who served in the role until January 2026. Assistant Professor Lactuan brings with him a strong academic foundation in computer science and information technology.
