Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU),  has been appointed by the International Council for Distance Education (ICDE) Secretary General Torunn Gjelsvik as an Ambassador for Open Educational Resources (OER). She  has also been appointed as a member of the ICDE OER Advisory Committee (OERAC). Dr. Felix Librero or Sir Lex as we fondly call him here at the University of the Philippines Open University ( UPOU) passed away on 16 March 2021.  I was blown away by the news.
