Dean Bagarinao is one of the 25 Senior Fellows awarded by DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año, Chairman of the PPSC Board of Trustees authorized through PPSC Operations Manual Rule IV, L Sections 1-2 and PPSC Academic Board Resolution 2021-05. Senior Fellows are recognized specialists who may be invited to participate actively in program creation, relationship building, and other development initiatives at the PPSC level in their areas of competence. Mr. Danilo L. Concepcion, President of the University of the Philippines (UP) system, visited the headquarters of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) in Los Baños, Laguna on 18 October 2021. Ms. Victoria “Vicki” Canape Belegal took her oath of office as the newly elected Staff Regent (SR) before UP President Danilo L. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), trained over 1,000 teachers on flexible learning through the capability building program “Gearing up for the Next Normal: Training of Teachers on Flexible Learning." The newly trained teachers were also equipped to develop their own Teacher-Training Program to be the lead trainers of the said topic in their respective institutions.
