The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) visited the UP Open University (UPOU) on 11 May  2022. The CBSUA Graduate School team was led by Graduate School Dean, Dr. Claribelle C. Haber. With her were Girlie C. Jaucian, Philip N. Talay, And Rene N. Rabacal. The visitors benchmarked the implementation of UPOU’s Open and Distance eLearning. 

They were welcomed by the UPOU Chancellor, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria (via zoom), Director of Office of Public Affairs (OPA), Dr. Myra C. Almodiel, and UPOU Program Development Associate for International Linkages, Ms. Margaret Jarmin-Suarez. Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria presented the current practices and offered expertise of UPOU and opened the discussion for future plans of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA).

UPOU has since welcomed visitors to its headquarters again after the pandemic alert level was relaxed. This initiative is part of UP Open University’s efforts towards capacity building of open and distance learning teachers and practitioners. Proper safety protocols were observed during this event.
