The Diploma in/Master of International Health (D/MIH) program of the University of the Philippines Open University-Faculty of Management and Development Studies (UPOU-FMDS) held a two-part program workshop from 21-22 August 2025 at the UPOU Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna, in a hybrid format. Faculty members (regular, affiliate, lecturer, and adjunct) participated in the activity, which aimed to chart directions for curriculum enrichment and program growth.

Discussions centered on semestral preparations, including plans to integrate gender and sustainability across courses, develop new electives, and expand the use of microcredentials and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as flexible learning pathways. Program concerns such as the enhancement of continuing education programs, new non-formal course proposals, and support for student research were also raised.

The workshop likewise served as a follow-through to the Round Table Discussion (RTD) conducted on 21 August 2025, particularly on clarifying the program’s international framework, strengthening collaborations, and initiating a Technical Working Group (TWG) for program revision.

The activity concluded with a commitment to align the D/MIH program more closely with emerging global health priorities, ensuring that it remains responsive, accessible, and internationally relevant. This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goal in Quality Education (SDG 4).
