Dr. Carlos Delgado Kloos will be one of the NCODeL 2019 Keynote Speakers.

Dr. Carlos Delgado Kloos, a professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, will be one of the speakers at the 6th National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning (NCODeL 2019). NCODeL 2019 will be held on 26-28 November 2019 at Holiday Inn, Baguio City, Philippines. For this year, NCODeL 2019 is organized by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) in collaboration with three Philippine State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) — the University of the Philippines Baguio (UPB), Benguet State University (BSU) and Ifugao State University (IFSU); with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), UPOU Foundation Inc. (UPOUFI) and the Philippine Society for Distance Learning (PSDL).

Dr. Delgado Kloos received the PhD degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and in Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid. He is Full Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he is Director of the UNESCO Chair on “Scalable Digital Education for All” and Vice President for Strategy and Digital Education.

His keen interest focuses on educational technology. He has led more than 20 research projects at the European level, national and bilateral; and published more than 200 scientific papers in national and international conferences and journals and has written a book and co-edited five more. He acted as a coordinator of the E-LANE project on e-learning, funded by the European Union and has been a member of the Board of Learn Research Network (LRN) Consortium, an open educational platform code.

The NCODeL 2019 shall provide participants with a better understanding of the concepts, principles, and methodologies of distance education, elearning, and technology-enhanced learning. It is also a venue for practitioners and scholars to share research results and practices in these areas. With the theme “Quality in Equity. Equity in Quality”, the conference aims to impart experiences, reflections and expertise in the field of e-learning for everyone to reap benefits from. (AJAscan)
