The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), in partnership with Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), invites researchers, academics, policymakers, development practitioners, students and professionals to submit abstracts for the 4th International Forum on Sustainability Science (IFSS) 2026, which will be held on 5-7 October 2026 at the PSAU in Magalang, Pampanga.
Carrying the theme, “Sumlag! Inclusive Sustainability Transitions through Co-creating Resilient Communities, Livelihoods, and Sustainable Destinations,” IFSS 2026 aims to advance interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration on sustainability challenges by highlighting inclusive, participatory, and community-driven approaches to resilience and sustainable development
The forum highlights original research, policy analyses, case studies, innovations, and practice-based initiatives that contribute to sustainability science and address pressing global and local issues.
IFSS 2026 welcomes papers that address the conference’s five thematic areas:
- Social Inclusion and Community Resilience
- Sustainable Livelihoods and Inclusive Economies
- Environmental Stewardship and Climate Resilience
- Sustainable Tourism and Resilient Destinations
- Innovation, Partnerships and Sustainability Governance

Abstracts must be submitted through the conference submission portal at https://indico.upou.edu.ph/event/19/ by 10 August 2026.
