Media Picks up on UPOU's Offering of Free MOOCs for 2025

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) has released its calendar of MOOCs offering for 2025 on 10 January 2025, Friday. Forty-four massive open online courses will be offered for 2025, free and open to the public. The courses cover a wide variety of topics on environmental management, biodiversity, resilience, entrepreneurship, design and innovation, video production, Open and Distance eLearning, teaching and learning, Child Rights, Mother’s Class,  Policy Development, Artificial Intelligence, ICT, Business Analytics, Gender, and others. 

The media was quick to pick up since the post was published on UPOU’s Facebook Page and the UPOU MODeL Facebook Page. Here are some of the media outfits that have shared the good news about UPOU’s free MOOCs for everyone:

As of writing, UPOU’s post about the free MOOCs has been shared more than 1,600 times and has reached more than 33,500 unique FB users. 

UPOU continues to fulfill its mission to provide Filipinos everywhere access to quality higher education through innovative methods of teaching and learning that are designed to be responsive to their needs and to the development of the nation. Through the UPOU MOOCs, upskilling and reskilling has been made easier for many of the Filipinos. 

In 2024, more that 120,000 students availed of the 37 MOOCs that UPOU offered. This year, more courses were added and UPOU is looking forward to capacitate more Filipinos, and help them upgrade their credentials to uplift their lives.
